Thanks. My instincts tell me to hold on and to keep a close eye on the situation because there is more there than meets the eye.

I want to be clear. I said that I don't have enough info to say that there is something there. "Keeping an eye on things" is the exact opposite of what I suggested. I think you should be honest without being overwhelming. Make sure that you're not just sticking your heals in the mud because you where unhappy with some of the comments. Be positive that you haven't put on the rose colored shades that one of our colleges suggested. If after eliminating those concerns you still feel that you have something with your friend, proceed appropriately.

Kevin was the only one who handled it as it should have been??!! Really 1981? I didn't get the instruction booklet that told us to give people advice that they want to hear, not advice they should really hear and seem to need to be hit over the head with.

I get this a lot. I have an advice column that is published in print nationally in two countries and online to millions of readers each and every month. I get questions from people all around the world. I have answered thousands upon thousands of letters and emails over the last decade from people who need advice on relationships, loves, dating etc.
Every once in a while I get someone like you who doesn't like the advice they get and they'll write back telling me that I didn't give them the advice they wanted, so could I try again.

I am not a Magic 8ball. You don't just shake me and different arbitrary answers come up for the same question. I am the real deal. I am a professional at giving advice to people on these subjects and you my friend are one of those people who will just never get it.

So let's agree to disagree. I think that you are off a bit and that if this girl, if there really is a girl, were to read what you wrote would not walk but run to the other side of the street because you come across like you are obsessed with her. That type of energy frightens women. And it resonates from between your sentences.
