If a person makes a habit of dating people in the military, especially those who are just starting out or are going to be stationed somewhere far away, could this be a sign (even subconsciously) that they are afraid of commitment?
I got to thinking about this after I noticed a pattern in the guys she dated. She would fall head over heels for them, but the relationships have almost always gone sour because it is virtually impossible for them to build anything. Yet, she always goes back to the same type of guy every time. Could this be a signature of her looking for someone to "be with" without having to commit herself to anything more than a virtual fantasy that can become real once in a while? |

How many of your buddies would admit that they'd dump their significant other if Megan Fox looked their way? Its the same for some women and military men. They're brave, usually in great shape and willing to risk their life to protect us. They're heros and some women are into that. Could it be a commitment thing? Sure, but what about all the military couples who marry and the wives (or husbands)who wait while their spouses are on duty? Sacrificing a day to day relationship to have such a partner is certainly a commitment that involves more than most of us can bear. For many, its more than a relationship, its their way of being there for our soldiers and serving our country as well.
